Description

This elderly rabbit dude as Starfox fans all know is well known for his famous catch phrase; "Do a barrel roll!" which has been popular since the release of Starfox 64 and has become a worldwide phenomenon on the internet in the last few years. Peppy Hare was best friends with Fox's father James McCloud alongside his former wing mate Pigma Dengar. However, after Pigma deliberately betrayed his team and sided with Andross, Peppy made a narrow escape from planet Venom to tell the young Fox McCloud the tragic news of his father's demise.

Peppy has since taken it upon himself to act as a mentor and a father figure to Fox as he was growing up to become a mercenary for the Cornerian Military. He frequently gives Fox pre-cautions, instructions, and advices throughout the course of the games. Due to his father-like wisdom and personality, I always saw a bit of Obi-Wan Kenobi in Peppy Hare. In fact, if you think about it, he could very well be considered the Obi-Wan Kenobi of the Starfox universe due to his likable and admirable characteristics. Peppy Hare served as a member of Fox's team for some time until Starfox Assault, when he retired from his rank as a team member, and was replaced with Krystal due to his advancing age.

In Starfox Command, Peppy assumed the rank as the General of Corneria's Armed Defense Forces after former General Pepper retired from his rank and position from old age. Peppy is said to have a wife named Vivian and a daughter named Lucy. And in one of the endings in Command, where Fox retires from his rank as leader to live a normal life on Corneria with his wife Krystal, the two have a son named Marcus, who in the future leads a new Starfox team, with one of the members being Peppy's granddaughter. Although he is not a playable character in any of the Super Smash Brothers games, Peppy does appear in transmission screens chatting with some of the other characters while a match is taking place between two or more characters.

Peppy Hare was voiced by Tomohisa Aso in all of the Japanese language releases of the games. And much like Falco Lombardi, he's also had a number of different actors who provided his English voice. In Starfox 64, Peppy was voiced by Isaac Marshall. In Starfox Adventures and Super Smash Brothers Melee, he was voiced by Chris Seavor. In Starfox Assault he was voiced by Henry Dardenne. And finally in Super Smash Brothers Brawl, he was voiced by Dex Manley.

Starfox, Peppy Hare, is the property of Nintendo.

You did a good job on making Peppy look dignified, MDT. :)
