Description

And now here's yet another classic Marvel Comics superhero, who no doubt has retained his popularity for 50 years, and remains one of the most talked about to this day. This is my take on Spider-Man, who was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Spider-Man first appeared in an issue titled "Amazing Fantasy" which was released in August of 1962. The comics were so popular and successful, that the franchise has since became one of Marvel's trademarks, and its popularity persists to the present day. In fact, Spider-Man has since become one of the most popular and most well-known superheroes of the Marvel universe, and is also the company's mascot.

Spider-Man's real name is Peter Parker, and originally started off as a typical highschooler with a rough life. But one day, he was bitten by a genetically enhanced spider, which gave him numerous capabilities inlcuding great strength, endurance, stamina, enhanced senses, and the ability to climb walls. In most continuities, Spider-Man required cartridges which he wears on his wrists that shoot the web. But in the 2002 theatrical film starring Tobey Maguire, he could make the web naturally with his own hands. As a superhero, Spiderman fought against a large variety of super villains including the Green Goblin, Sand Man, Hob Goblin, Venom, Carnage, Shocker, and many others. His love interest is a girl named Mary Jane Watson.

Throughout the course of time, Spider-Man was often crossed over with other Marvel Comics superheroes. Most notably with the X-Men in various comicbook crossovers, and in some of the TV shows that came out in the 1980s and 1990s. Spider-Man's first TV appearance was in an animated show simply titled "Spider-Man" which ran from 1967 to 1970. In that show, he was voiced by Paul Soles. Then in 1980, there was a show called "Spider-Man and his Amazing Freinds", where he was accompanied by Firestar and Iceman. In that show, he was voiced by Dan Gilvezan, the same person who voiced Bumble Bee from the original G1 Transformers cartoon. And probably the show that most fans remember is the 1994 cartoon that aired on Fox Kids, which starred Christopher Daniel Barnes as the voice of Spider-Man. Countless other shows have been made as of more recent years. And some of them include "Spider-Man: Unlimited", "Spider-Man: The New Animated Series", "The Spectacular Spider-Man", ect. As is the case with X-Men, and other trademarks of Marvel Comics, the Spider-Man comics are still in production, and continue to be sold to this day.

And also, the theatrical films that were released in the last several years have proven to be a major success. In fact, the film trilogy series starring Tobey Maguire have sold well, and have met with critical acclaim and success along with mostly positive reviews. In the original Spider-Man trilogy which lasted from 2002 until 2007, he was played by Tobey Maquire. And in the recently released theatrical film "The Amazing Spider-Man" he was played by Andrew Garfield.

Spider-Man belongs to Marvel Comics.
