Description

Well, ladies and gentlemen, I know its a little early. But here it is; the month of September. And we all know what that means. This coming September is the 20th anniversary of the 1996 animated TV series, Road Rovers. A criminally underrated gem that Warner Bros gave us back in the mid to late 90s, the same era when Nintendo gave us the N64. God, I can't believe its been 20 years now since this show first aired. And I still have many fond memories of it right to this very day. I still remember seeing the commercials for this show prior to when it first aired. And I remember falling madly in love with this show when it first aired on September 7th, 1996, and how each episode kept me on the edge of my seat, and kept my curiosity to see what more would happen in the series. But sadly, as we all know, that ended on February 22nd, 1997 when the show came to its end, and was buried with the 90s and left for dead. And it hasn't been touched by Warner Bros ever since then. But oh well, at least the fans have been keeping the show's memory alive through fanart and fanfiction.

And yes, I know it doesn't count. At least not officially. But since Warner Bros has NEVER touched the series ever since its cancellation, we the fans had to keep the show's memory alive and to expand its potential in our own way. And through the various fanfictions I have read in the near 20 years of the show's existence, this is proof like no other that Road Rovers is a very versatile series, and like every other franchise, it has the ability to grow, expand, and become something groundbreaking. Again, it was never done officially. But it has the potential to expand. And like with series like TMNT and X-Men, there are many different ideas, character arcs, and story arcs that can be explored in a variety of different continuities. Anyway, I'm glad to have been a Road Rovers fan for as long as I did. I supported Road Rovers. And I'm glad I did. Because again, this series has a lot of potential. And as long as that potential still exist, I will never stop believing in Road Rovers. Well, here's to celebrating 20 years of Road Rovers. Thank you, Tom Ruegger, and thank you Warner Bros. for giving us this wonderful and magnificent series. A series which you have since discarded and left for dead, but is still cherished and loved by its loyal and devoted fans.

Road Rovers is to Tom Ruegger and Warner Bros.
