10 Characters Who Deserve Better

Description

I'm aware that I might have done a meme like this before. But I decided to do another one anyway just for the hell of it. The following is a meme of characters who I feel were either abused, mistreated, or neglected, who deserve more than they were given credit for.

1. Lupe: A character who was first introduced in 1994 towards the end of Sonic SatAM's second and last season. Making her first appearance in the episode "Cry of the Wolf", Lupe is a hot sexy young woman with a good looking body and tasteful revealing fashion. She is also an adequate leader, and a charismatic mother figure to those younger than her. She is married to Lobo, has two legitimate children; Marcos and Maria, and two adopted children, Ariel and Athena. My biggest gripe however is that she and her team, the Wolfpack, were constantly shoved into the background, and they served virtually no purpose to the grand scheme things in any of their appearances. And sadly, thanks to the Ken Penders lawsuit, we may never see the Wolfpack ever again. So whatever potential they might have had to serve any importance has been eliminated. It's sad, but that's just the way it is. But still, Lupe and her group deserved so much better. Even though Archie Comics couldn't care less for them.

2. Blitz: The cocky and arrogant Doberman from the short lived Road Rovers series, who is often looked down upon by fans as the black sheep of the team. I'm sure Professor Shepherd had good intentions when he first chose Blitz to be part of the team. And I'm sure he had high hopes for him. But from time to time I keep wondering if the master made a mistake when he chose Blitz to be part of the team due to his numerous flaws that he displayed throughout the series, which range from his blatant arrogance, vanity, cowardice, and lack of loyalty. Blitz was less of a teammate, and sometimes I question whether or not the team truly values him despite his obvious flaws. Because Blitz clearly has more weaknesses than he has any strengths. However, I do admit that Blitz HAS had a few chances to prove his mantle. Mostly in episode 7; "Hunter's Heroes", where he saw a great deal of the action, and got to have some redeeming moments. But even that wasn't enough to make up for his shady reputation. Blitz constantly got abused throughout the series by both his teammates and by the villains, regardless of whether or not he deserved it. Now as I keep saying, sometimes he deserved it, and other times he didn't. But that hardly matters, because abusing him was a running gag in the show. And sadly, since the show was cancelled almost 20 years ago, Blitz may never have the chance to truly redeem himself. I strongly believe that he deserved better.

3. Drago: Another underrated and neglected character. First debuting in 1997 with the release of issue 47 of the Sonic comics by Archie, Drago was once a member of the Wolfpack Freedom Fighters headed by Lupe until he decided to turn traitor, and defect to Robotnik (now Eggman) for his own personal gain. He came close to succeeding in his goal to rule it all. That is until his ex-girlfriend Hershey beat the living crap out of him, and had him busted. Drago would later escape from prison to join the Destructix team, and remained a part of the team until he decided to leave due to constant abuse. Ever since his debut, Drago has had a bit of a mixed reputation. Some people love him, and others hate him for how much of an asshole he is. But he is loved by fans for his attractive appearance. Well, his earlier design anyway, before he was turned into a hideous cybernetic monstrosity in his later appearances. Drago has had very few appearances throughout the course of time. But when he does appear, he usually doesn't serve much importance to the grand scheme of things. And much like Blitz, he gets abused regularly, which in Drago's case I don't mind that much since he pretty much deserves it anyway. But my biggest gripe is they could have done so much more with him. But sadly, sometime after he became part of the Dark Egg Legion, Drago disappeared from the comics, and was never seen or heard from again. And thanks to the Ken Penders lawsuit, we will most likely never see Drago ever again. So yeah, he's basically just a waste of a character.

4. Big Bad Wolf/Johnny: Now this is a character who I always pitied and felt sorry for. Debuting in the 80s anime cartoon "Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics", this character originally was never named. So I gave him his name that fans know him by today. This nameless wolf's first and only appearance was in the episode based on the story of Little Red Riding Hood. And I don't think I have to tell you what happened to him at the end of the episode if you've already have seen it. Because if you're familiar with the story of Little Red Riding Hood, then the story ends pretty much the way you imagine it would. And normally, it would be considered a happy ending from one point of view. But it's also a sad ending from a different perspective. But at least I've been giving Johnny the love that he's long been deserving of in the form of my fanfiction. I've already completed two chapters, and I plan to create a third chapter this year.

5. Tygrus: Another one shot character who appeared in a single episode from the earlier seasons of the early 90s Batman cartoon. His first and only appearance in the cartoon was in "Tyger Tyger". Tygrus was an experimental anthropomorphic catlike creature created by the deranged Dr. Dorian, who believed that cats were the ultimate creatures on Earth. So therefore, he experimented on cats more than any other species of animal. At first, Tygrus was believed to be evil, as he served his creator Dr. Dorian and nearly succeeded in killing Batman, but was stopped by Selena Kyle, who at the time was turned into a cat creature by Dr. Dorian. Tygrus soon had a change of heart, when he learned the truth behind his creator's intentions, and rebelled against him. Sadly, we never see Tygrus ever again after this episode. And I really wanted to see more of him.

6. Coach Buzzcut: You're probably wondering why I included this guy in this meme. Well, I'll tell you. Coach Bradley Buzzcut is a character from the 1993 animated TV series, Beavis and Butthead. He was one of the teachers who attended at the fictional Highland high-school, and one of my favorite characters in the show. Now, Coach Buzzcut is one of the characters in the show who I have respect for. For three reasons, he was very serious, strict, and down to the point, he was very dedicated to his job as the coach, and he was also a major badass. Even though he clearly despised and hated Beavis and Butthead just as much as Principal McVicker did, Buzzcut would always do his best to enforce discipline into the mentally retarded duo, despite the fact that he never succeeded. But what I really loved about Coach Buzzcut besides his serious, strict, and hot-tempered personality is that he was very tough. And he even displayed the ability to withstand painful attacks such as a kick to the genitals. Now if that isn't badass, I don't know what is. And in one episode, he beat up a substitute teacher who attempted to assault Beavis and Butthead. And quite easily I might add. Sadly that's the only time we ever see the Coach in action. And I seriously wanted to see him kick ass more often. There's no doubt in my mind that Buzzcut would beat the living snot out of Todd.

7. Beavis: I listed Beavis here for good reasons. First and foremost, he shares something in common with Blitz and Drago; he's often the object of constant abuse. And yes, abusing him is a running gag. And often he received abuse from his so-called friend Butthead, who no doubt couldn't care less for him. But the feeling is mutual since Beavis couldn't care less for Butthead either. It's common knowledge that the despite being a duo, Beavis and Butthead often disregard each others' safety at their expense. They don't care about each other (or anybody for that matter) so much as they care solely for themselves. And here I thought Blitz and Colleen's relation was abusive. But now that I think of it, Colleen may have disliked Blitz. But she was nowhere near as abusive with Blitz as Butthead was with Beavis. And let me tell you, Beavis has been through hell; he got smacked around, beaten up, mortally injured, got his finger cut off with a rotary saw, etc. And in the Halloween special, Beavis was killed off screen by a zombified Butthead and a strange old man with chainsaws. Beavis is just cursed with bad luck and misfortune. And most of the times, nothing bad ever happens to Butthead, who took pleasure in Beavis' misfortune. Fortunately, Beavis did eventually get his revenge on Butthead in an episode of Celebrity Death Match. And if you ask me, Beavis was more than deserving of his revenge. And it was about time because Butthead always got away with everything.

8. Megaman X: I've already stressed enough how bad I feel for X due to the constant neglect that he's endured over the years thanks to Capcom's ignorance and indifference. Seriously, this is a character with heaps of potential. I mean seriously, what's not to like about Megaman X? He's freaking awesome! He's basically a more powerful version of Megaman (yes, I know Megaman and X are two separate characters) with a killer blaster weapon, the ability to climb walls, and an endless number of abilities. Throughout his respective series, X has donned not one, not two, not even three, but multiple suits of armor that enhanced his abilities. And time and time again, Capcom kept pushing him aside in favor of Zero like he never existed. But as I digress, X has been receiving much better treatment in recent years thanks to Archie Comics touching upon his story. I'm not joking when I say that Archie Comics has done Megaman X more justice than either Capcom or Ruby Spears have ever done. And trust me, that's definitely saying something.

9. Hotrod/Rodimus Prime: This is another character who my heart bleeds for. Now I don't think I need to explain who Rodimus Prime is. It helps if you've been a Transformers fan for as long as I have and have familiarized yourself with the Transformers lore and source material. Rodimus Prime is a character who Hasbro seems to push aside and ignore like he never existed. Much like how Capcom keeps pushing X aside. In fact, now that I think of it, Rodimus Prime and Megaman X share so much in common; they're both underrated characters who few people care about, and they're often pushed aside and ignored to the point in which they don't exist. And I'm not going to talk about what happened to Rodimus in recent years. Because I've stressed about that enough. And I'd rather just move on that dwell on that. Besides, even though Rodimus has had a mixed reputation among the Transformers fandom, he's not as bad a character as some people make him out to be. While he's not nearly as good a leader as Optimus Prime is, Rodimus did have his moments when he proved to be adequate. But the best chance he had to redeem himself was at the end of the original movie when he destroyed Unicron. And as far as I know, that will probably be the only chance he will ever have to redeem himself. But for me, that's saying something. Besides, rumor has it that Rodimus will soon be appearing in the soon to be fifth Transformers film, which should be coming out next year or the year after. By then, it will mark 30 years since his debut in the original movie. But I just hope that the makers of the film treat him with respect and not shit all over him like the makers of TFA did. And it's also been rumored that he will once again be voiced by his original voice actor, Judd Nelson. But since he's aged a bit (as its been almost 30 years since then), I can expect him to sound much older than before. But still, I just hope that Rodimus will receive better treatment in the upcoming Transformers film.

10. Blurr: Another underrated and neglected Transformers character. Like Rodimus, Blurr made his debut in the original Transformers film from 1986. He was voiced by John Moschitta Jr. And of course, he was voiced by his respective voice actor again years later in Transformers Animated. And I'd rather not go there with how Blurr was treated in that show. And yes, that show killed him off too. And sadly, no word of his return has been announced. So we most likely won't be seeing Blurr again anytime soon.

I think Mega Man X deserves better, the Mega Man X dive maybe cool, but when is Mega Man X 9 coming out?
