Description

I know that I've been delaying a lot of things as of late. And right now, I need to confess to all my friends and watchers at DA that I'm feeling an overwhelming sense of regret because of this. But be that as it may, I need to update my page more often. So I'm just digging through some of my scraps that I've saved in my desktop and my backup CDs to see what I can find to keep my watchers updated with what's new.

Anyway, as you know already, this is another pic I did of Drago Wolf, as he used to be before he had undergone a rather unexpected and needless to say drastic change in his appearance with the recently released issues #213 and #214 of the Sonic Archie Comics. In other words, Drago has had a bit of a major make-over since his last appearance upon becoming a Dark Legion Grandmaster; he wears a completely different attire, and had his arms replaced with robotic arms with razor sharp claws on the finger tips. Needless to say he no longer has that handsome charm that he used to have in his more previous appearances. In fact, Drago now has a more feral and bestial face with creepy yellow eyes which makes him look more evil and sinister. But I have to admit he sure looks more intimidating that way. In fact, now that I've seen the last two issues that were released earlier this summer, he looks like he should be in his own horror movie or horror comic!

However, I admit that I have been feeling rather nostalgic about the way Drago used to look. Mainly becuase I believe that he was never really explored that much or given much depth in his character rather than being just a mere thug with a rather low measure of intellect. In fact, it actually boggles the mind how he gained the rank of Grandmaster when considering that he doesn't even have admirable leadership skills. Because aside from him being a scheaming fiend, that's pretty much the only real quality he has as a villain aside from his vicious and bastardly personality. But anyway, I kind of miss the way Drago used to look before he became a DEL Grandmaster. However, I'm not entirely against the idea of him actually becoming Grandmaster so much as to how he is used in his appearance. Because as fate would have it, writter Ian Flynn still has a strong dislike of Drago after all this time. And despite his monstrous make over, he's still pretty wimpy and can barely fight at all even with his new cybernetic arms. In other words, he's still no more than a mere punching bag after all this time. Which of course is no surprise to me seeing as he's always been a rather abused and neglected character. Of course, you'd have to see the last few pages of issue 214 to know what I mean.

But anyway, before I end this, I want to say that this is my little tribute to classic Drago Wolf. I have a better picture of him currently in the works. But hopefully I'll have it ready soon enough. But until then, I hope my friends and watchers will enjoy this. And as you can tell by his pose and expression, Drago's feeling just as horny and smug ever.

Drago belongs to Sega and Archie Comics.
