Megaman X in Action

Description

I've been putting this off for quite a while now. And my DA friend Wolfboi1 keeps encouraging me to do more Megaman related fanart. And I don't blame him; I really "DO" need to make more because Megaman was an important part of my childhood. And even today in my adulthood, it continues to inspire me in some ways. And it just keeps coming back to me one way or another. And maybe someday if I can get recognized, I'll be able to contribute to the franchise in some ways. Anyway, putting that aside, I found this old sketch that I made of Megaman X doing an epic pose with his blaster. I tried to capture that sort of angle in which t looks like he's actually pointing his blaster in a certain direction. I guess I did an okay job, but I could have done better. But for the most part, I like how I drew the position of his legs and his other arm with the clutched fist. The pose alone looks very dynamic.

Now, since this is my most recent submission of Megaman X, I just want to further express my feelings for him. As I've mentioned many times before, Megaman X was wrongfully pushed aside time and time again. And considering his potential, I feel that he's good enough to have been included into games like Marvel vs. Capcom, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, or even Super Smash Bros. Not only is X a stronger version of Classic Megaman, but he could also have access to several of his armor upgrades that he had from several of the games in his respective series. Some of the suits I would love to have seen put to good use include the Light Armor (MMX1), the Giga Armor (MMX2), the Max Armor (MMX3), the Shadow Armor (MMX6), and the Ultimate Armor (MMX6). In fact, if you think about it, Megaman X could have made a really solid character for other games outside of his own series if Capcom was more opened to his potential. But oh well, at least Nintendo is making an effort to put Classic Megaman to good use. Because like I said before, Capcom has been pushing Megaman aside for too long, and there's no excuse. And I'm definitely looking forward to the next Smash Bros. game.

Megaman X belongs to Capcom.
